Álvaro Fernández



Álvaro graduated from the Barcelona Technical School of Architecture (etsaB). He collaborated with the landscape architect Bet Figueras on the planning of large scale urban projects for the Barcelona Metropolitan area, was involved in educational and public projects at Forgas Arquitectes and led the Cable Car Stations execution in Barcelona. He moved to London in 2007 to work at Foreign Office Architects (FOA), led the Virtual Metro Station project in Paris for the RATP, among a number of international competitions. He continued working at Farshid Moussavi architecture, where he became Associate, and developed the residential block in Paris- Nanterre, the residential tower ‘Follie Divine’ in Montpellier, the office building in Fenchurch Street, the office’s exhibition af the XII venice architecture Biennale in 2012, the concept and furniture design for the Victoria Beckham flagship store in London and many others.

He is currently Associate Architect for Building & Places at Aecom in London where he leads the design and development of special projects internationally.
