Lorenzo Grifantini

Lorenzo was born in Rome in 1973 into a family of successful, practising architects. Growing up in and around his parent’s studio, he went on to graduate from La Sapienza University in Rome with his work already being published, before quickly moving to London and joining Zaha Hadid’s practise in 1999. Here he was involved in high-profile projects such as the Florence railway station and the Guangzhou Opera House in China. In 2001, Lorenzo moved across the Thames to join Foster & Partners, where he worked on projects including the masterplan for Milan’s Fiera and Florence’s TAV railway station.

Tavis and Lorenzo decided to collaborate on an entry for the international Dubai Marina Tower competition – open to architects worldwide. Their first prize-winning success catapulted them to international recognition and thus DOSarchitects was born.
